Samenvatting

Chronisch hartfalen is een veelvoorkomende aandoening met een slechte prognose. Tijdige diagnose en behandeling verbeteren zowel de prognose als de symptomen van deze aandoening. Echocardiografie is de gouden standaard voor de diagnostiek en het is daarom belangrijk dat huisartsen deze adequaat gebruiken.
