Samenvatting

Begin maart 2007 besteedde het tv-programma Radar aandacht aan ‘The International Network of Cholesterol Skeptics’. Aan het woord kwamen de Zweedse ‘onafhankelijke wetenschapper’ Uffe Ravnskov en de Nederlandse gepensioneerde cardioloog Paul de Groot. De boodschap: het nut van cholesterolverlagende medicatie is onvoldoende aangetoond en we weten te weinig van de bijwerkingen.
