Samenvatting

Onlangs had onze hagro een FTO aan de hand van de nieuwe NHG-Standaard Cardiovasculair risicomanagement van januari 2006. Wij hebben aandacht besteed aan de nieuwe criteria voor cholesterolverlagende middelen. Volgens de standaard zijn deze criteria aanzienlijk verscherpt: het gaat om alle patiënten met een doorgemaakte hart- en vaatziekte, en alle diabetespatiënten boven de 50 jaar. Er is geen leeftijdslimiet meer; de drempels en streefwaarden zijn verlaagd en de standaarddosering van de statines is verhoogd.
