Jozien Bensing (directeur NIVEL) ontving in juni de Spinozaprijs voor haar onderzoek naar de communicatie tussen (huis)artsen en patiënten. Onder het motto Medicine is a delicate balance between art, science and communication onderstreept zij dat communicatie een essentieel aspect is van het medisch handelen. Veel van haar onderzoek verrichtte ze in de huisartsenpraktijk. (FS)
