Zoenen verlicht de allergische klachten bij mensen met milde atopische dermatitis en milde allergische rhinitis. Een Japanse onderzoeker komt tot deze conclusie na een heuse kissing study. Hij onderzocht 24 patiënten met milde atopische dermatitis met een allergie voor pollen, huisstofmijt of latex en 24 patiënten met milde allergische rhinitis met een allergie voor pollen. Alle patiënten waren van Japanse afkomst, gebruikten geen medicijnen tegen de allergie en waren weinig frequente zoeners.
