Samenvatting

Hoe zit het met de verantwoordelijkheid van de overheid voor de kwaliteit van de zorg? Die vraag is opnieuw actueel door de beoogde invoering van de zogenoemde maatstafconcurrentie voor een groot deel van de ziekenhuiszorg. Die invoering moet per 1 januari 2009 zijn beslag krijgen; het gaat om een tijdelijke maatregel (tot 1 januari 2012), maar of dat echt zo is zal te zijner tijd moeten blijken.
