Samenvatting

Jos Schols heeft na zijn studie geneeskunde en huisartsopleiding aan de Universiteit Maastricht van 1987-2004 gewerkt als verpleeghuisarts. In 2000 promoveerde hij op het proefschrift Samenwerking tussen verpleeghuisarts en huisarts en in 2004 werd hij benoemd tot hoogleraar Chronische Zorg aan de Universiteit van Tilburg. In 2007 werd hij benoemd tot hoogleraar Verpleeghuisgeneeskunde aan de Universiteit Maastricht en sprak hij zijn inaugurele rede op 26 september 2008 uit.
