Samenvatting

In dit overzicht worden achtereenvolgens het klinische probleem, de diagnostische strategie en het bewijs voor de aanwezigheid van een acute longembolie en de behandelmogelijkheden systematisch besproken. De auteur beschrijft hoe te handelen bij de aanwezigheid van een positieve Well’s score of Geneva score en hoe men verder komt met het stellen van de diagnose door het meten van D-dimeren en CT-angiografie. Met CT-angiografie wordt de diagnose acute longembolie vastgesteld.
