Samenvatting
In het vorige nummer van TSG schreven wij dat waarschuwingsplaatjes op tabaksverpakking niet effectief zijn.1 Daarop zijn twee kritieken gekomen, van Stivoro en van Research voor Beleid, die we hieronder zullen beantwoorden. Eerst nog kort onze stellingname: uit onderzoek blijkt dat puur op angst gerichte voorlichting (zoals waarschuwingsteksten en -plaatjes) niet werkt wanneer mensen het moeilijk vinden hun gedrag te veranderen (zoals bij stoppen met roken het geval is).
