Op 25 december 1932 werd in Duits - land een octrooi aangevraagd voor een sulfanilamidenverbinding, Prontosil genoemd. Door deze ontdekking zouden miljoenen mensen - levens gered worden. Maar er zat veel ironie in dit verhaal.
