Weefselsparend behandelen binnen een dynamisch behandelconcept

Samenvatting

Wanneer een patiënt de praktijk bezoekt met de vraag een oplossing te bedenken voor het vervangen van een verlorengegaan gebitselement, zal een proces in werking treden waarbij een diagnose, indicatiestelling en behandelplanning plaatsvindt en goed alle voor- en nadelen van de verschillende behandelopties, evenals de wensen van de patiënt tegen elkaar worden afgewogen. In het bijzonder wanneer een of beide buurelementen gaaf of vrijwel gaaf zijn en het plaatsen van een implantaat niet zonder meer (of zonder meer niet...) mogelijk blijkt te zijn, zal iedere tandarts het liefst een manier zoeken om met zo min mogelijk schade aan de gebitselementen aan de wens tot vervanging tegemoet te komen.
