Plotse verbetering bij borderlinestoornis

Samenvatting

John Gunderson en medewerkers rapporteren over ‘dramatische verbeteringen’ bij patiënten met een borderline persoonlijkheidsstoornis.Bij een follow-up studie van 160 patiënten, met een goed gedocumenteerde diagnose van borderlinestoornis, werd vastgesteld dat 18 patiënten in de eerste zes maanden van het onderzoek opvallend verbeterd waren en dat deze merkwaardige vooruitgang bleef bestaan (met uitzondering van één patiënt) bij een vervolgstudie na twee jaar.
