Summary

In order to investigate whether organs and/or tissues other than lymphnodes are impaired in Hodgkin’s disease, 4 radioisotopic techniques are proposed: scintigraphic scanning of the liver was employed in 32 cases, of the spleen in 29 cases, bone scanning in 30 cases, and splenic trapping of heat-damaged51Cr-labelled erythrocytes in 23 cases. The results are reported. Bone scanning and to a lesser extent morphological and functional investigations of the spleen are stated to be useful.
