Riassunto
Nella presente nota vengono analizzati criticarnente i principali liquidi di diluizione per il conteggio delle piastrine (Pt), utilizzando quale emocitometro una speciale camera a fondo sottile (thin bottom chamber), ideata e progettata da Marmont e Giacca nel 1956. Tale camera di conteggio rappresenta ancora oggi il migliore, il più rapido e preciso strumento per il conteggio delle piastrine e la sua potenzialità è attualmente accresciuta dall’impiego di liquidi di diluizione (Plaxan, Pair-M, Palumbo-Dini) che determinano una rapida emolisi dei globuli rossi, che non inducono agglutina-zione piastrinica e che permettono, entro limiti abbastanza ampi, anche di apprezzare la morfologia trombocitaria.
