Summary
Results of an extensive investigation on the changes in the size and shape of the colloid particles during the sol-gel transition of agar-agar, gelatin and cellulose acetate gels, by the R. S. Krishnan colloid optical technique have been discussed. A possible mechanism of the sol-gel transition of lyophilic gels has been proposed.
