Abstract

In this article we present the first prototype of hardware implementation of the new modified turbo block decoder, where the termination of all the used soft-in-soft-out decoders is possible. We also enlighten the flexibility of the decoder and the application of same hardware in systems where different block lengths are used. Simulated and measured results in simple awgn channel and in median surroundings usingOfdm are presented.
