Isolation and identification of cytotoxic components from bryophyllum pinnatum

Abstract

A potent cytotoxic bufadienolide orthoacetate has been isolated from Bryophyllum pinnatum. Based on spectral study methods, its structure was identified as bersaldegenin 1,3, 5-orthoacetate.
