Role of tympanometry in otosclerosis with a proposal of a new classification for type ‘As’ curve

Abstract

The present study was carried out in 100 Otosclerotic patients and showed high sensitivity index, definite correlation between type of footplate pathology and pre-operative compliance value, with introduction of new subclassification of Type ‘A S’ curve into Type ‘A SN’ and ‘A SL’.
