Abstract

Activity-guided fractionation of the whole plant ofSolidago virga-aurea var.gigantea MIQ. (Compositae) has led to the isolation of three cytotoxic compounds, erythrodiol-3-acetate (1), α-tocopherol-quinone (2), and trans-phytol (3) from the hexane soluble fraction. It is the first report of those compounds from the genus.
