Les possibilités offertes par la coloscopie sont nombreuses. Actuellement l'indication principale est représentée par la recherche et le traitement des polypes, ce qui suffirait déjà à justifier l'existence de cette technique. Il convient cependant de ne pas oublier les risques non négligeables de ce type d'examen endoscopique: perforation et hémorragie.

Summary

The possibilities offered by colonoscopy are numerous. At the present time, the principal indication is in finding and removing polyps, and it is enough to justify the existence of the method. But one must not forget the possible risks of this type of endoscopy: perforation and hemorrhage.
