Dr. YANG Qing received his B.Sc. in computer science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 1982, his M.A.Sc. in electrical engineering from University of Toronto, Canada, in 1985, and his Ph.D degree in computer engineering from The Center for Advanced Computer Studies, University of Southwestern Louisiana, in 1988. He joined the faculty at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of The University of Rhode Island in 1988, where he is presently an Associate Professor. His research interests include parallel and distributed computing, computer architectures, memory systems, performance evaluation, and computer networks. He is recipient of a 1989 NSF Research Initiation Award (RIA), Aurelio Lucci Faculty Excellence Award of URI, and 1992/1995 NSF Regular Research Awards. Dr. YANG is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and the SIGARCH of the Association for Computing Machinery.
Dr. JIANG Hong received his B.Sc. in 1982 and M.A.Sc. in 1987, both in computer engineering, from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the University of Toronto, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Texas A&M University in 1991. He joined the faculty of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in the Fall of 1991 and is currently an Assistant Professor there. His areas of research interest are computer systems architecture, performance evaluation, parallel and distributed processing, and interconnection networks. He has published extensively in the above areas. He is a member of IEEE Computer Society and ACM.
