Abstract
In this paper, we described the structure of coextensions of regular semigroups by rectangular bands.

V.M. Chandrasekaran, received his M.Sc., degree from Bharathiar University and Ph.D. at the Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, University of Madras under the direction of M. Loganathan. He received a Senior Research Fellowship from the University Grants Commission, India. Since 1993 he has been at the Vellore Institute of Technology (Deemed University). His research interests focus on the structure theory of regular semigroups.
