Abstract

Matveychuk and Petunin (Ukrainian Math. J. 42. No. 4, pp. 518–528 (1990)) studied a generalization of the Bernoulli model, in which dependence among events arises from their definition in terms of placement statistics. In this paper we analyze various extensions of this model. meaningful in the context of tolerance limits and distribution-free tests. Special attention is devoted to the degree of dependence between the events in the models Some brief comments on limiting distributions are provided.
