Summary

New complexes of stearic acid hydrazones with oxo-vanadium(IV) and dioxouranium(VI) have been prepared and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic studies. The metal-to-ligand ratio in all the complexes was found to be 1∶1.i.r. Data show that the ligands are dibasic and tridentate, coordinating through the O, N, O, donor set. A dimeric structure with bridging phenolic oxygens is suggested.
