Abstract

The Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) Paradox is considered briefly within an historical and philosophical perspective that focuses on the early contribution of Albert Einstein to the foundations of quantum theory. It is also shown how, in spite of the quantum-theoretical «incompleteness» claim by Einstein expressed in a famousPhysical Review paper in 1935, in recent decades the recourse to the experiment has contributed to replace the EPR Paradox by a striking, even more intriguing property of the physical world: the quantum Non-locality and the Entanglement of the quantum states.
