On the commutation properties of normal-mode operators and vertices in the theory of the relativistic quantum string

Summary

We study the commutation properties of the creation and annihilation operators of the theory of the relativistic quantum string with the vertex of interaction that describes the splitting and joining of strings in the transverse gauge. As a result of the change of boundary conditions, annihilation operators acting on the vertex are partially transmitted through the vertex and partially reflected as creation operators. A compact formalism is established to describe this effect, and an application is made to study the singularities of the string operators at the point of splitting. The results of this approach are compared with the previous results obtained on the three-string interaction vertex.

Si studiano le proprietà di commutazione degli operatori di creazione ed annichilazione della teoria della « corda quantistica relativistica » con il vertice che descrive la frammentazione e la fusione di più « corde » nel gauge trasversale. A causa del cambio di condizioni al contorno, operatori di annichilazione agenti sul vertice sono parzialmente trasmessi attraverso il vertice e parzialmente riflessi come operatori di creazione. Si sviluppa un formalismo compatto per descrivere questo effetto, e se ne fa un’applicazione allo studio della singelarità degli operatori della « corda » al punto di frammentazione. Si confrontano i risultati ottenuti col presente metodo con i risultati precedentemente ottenuti sul vertice d’interazione di tre « corde ».

Мы исследуем свойств а коммутации операторов рождения и уничтожения в теории релятивистс кой квантовой струны с вершиной взаимодействия, которая описывает ра сщепление и объедине ние струн в поперечной калибров ке. В результате изменен ия граничных условий опрераторы аннигиляции, действу ющие в вершине, частично пр оходят через вершину и частично отражаются, как опера торы рождения. Развиваетс я компактный формали зм для описания этого эффек та. Этот формализм применяет ся к исследованию син глярностей операторов струны в т очке расщепления. Результ аты этого подхода сра вниваются с ранее полученными ре зультатаму для вершины взаимоде йствия трех струн.
