Dynamical model of the Y 0 * (1405) resonance

Summary

Assuming that the observed Y 0 * (1405 MeV) resonance which decays predominantly into Σπ is ins 1/2,I=0 state, we have calculated its mass and width as well as the coupling constant\(g_{Y_0^ * {\mathcal{N}}\bar K} \) selfconsistently in a two-channel problem involving Σπ and\(\bar K{\mathcal{N}}\). We have used only baryon exchanges. The left-hand cut of the Σπ channel has been approximated by two effective-range poles. The calculated mass and width of the Y 0 * resonance are in fair agreement with the observed values.

Supponendo che la risonanza osservata Y 0 * (1405 MeV), che decade principalmente in Σπ, sia nello statos 1/2 eI=0, si è calcolata in modo autocoerente la sua massa e la sua ampiezza ed anche la costante di accoppiamento\(g_{Y_0^ * {\mathcal{N}}\bar K} \) in un problema di due canali che coinvolge Σπ e\(\bar K{\mathcal{N}}\). Si sono usati solo scambi barionici. Si è approssimato il taglio sinistro del canale Σπ con due poli di rango effettivo. La massa e l'ampiezza calcolata della risonanza Y 0 * sono in buon accordo con i valori osservati.
