Summary
Assuming that the observed Y *0 (1405 MeV) resonance which decays predominantly into Σπ is ins 1/2,I=0 state, we have calculated its mass and width as well as the coupling constant\(g_{Y_0^ * {\mathcal{N}}\bar K} \) selfconsistently in a two-channel problem involving Σπ and\(\bar K{\mathcal{N}}\). We have used only baryon exchanges. The left-hand cut of the Σπ channel has been approximated by two effective-range poles. The calculated mass and width of the Y *0 resonance are in fair agreement with the observed values.

The value used is consistent with the experimental values obtained byde Swart andIddingsref. (9)).. It is also consistent with the value obtained by applying Goldberger-Treiman relation to the Σ-Λ beta decay.
