Oscillopolarographic detection of transformation of steroids by actinomycetes

Abstract

The authors studied the possibility of using oscillographic polarography to determine the transformation type of Actinomycetes in the progesterone molecule. No special treatment of specimens extracted from the fermentation medium with chloroform is required. This method was used to determine the type of transformation of progesterone of 6β-hydroxyprogesterone and 6β11α-dihydroxyprogesterone for which oscillographic polarography gives rapid and specific results.

Abstract

Исследовались возможности применения осциллографической полярографии для определения типа трансформации актиномицетов на молекуле прогестерона. Для определения не требуется специальной обработки образца, экстрагируемого из ферментационной жидкости хлороформом. Метод был использован для определения типа превращения прогестерона в 6β гидроксипрогестерон и 6β 11α дигидроксипрогестерон, когда осциллографическая полярография дает быстрые и специфические результаты.
