Phytotax., Praha, 22: 171–178.—The newly described plant community of the associationJuncetum alpino-articulati subassblysmetosum compressi colonizes sandy alluvial deposits in the subriparian tier (at and below annual mean watermark) on the banks of the upper Biela Orava river in the north-western Slovakian Carpathian Mts. at the altitudes of 800 to 850 m. The high content of CaCO₃ leached from the subsoil, is reflected in the species composition of the community which belongs to the orderTofieldietalia of the classScheuchzerio-Caricetea fuscae.
