Abstract

The present study provides a survey of the variability, distribution, ecology and other features ofTaraxacum (sect.Spectabilia) nordstedtii Dahlst. in central Europe. Chromosome counts (hexaploid chromosome number−2n=48−has been confirmed) of the species are also given. A lectotype has been chosen of the syntypes. It is pointed out thatT. nordstedtii is likely to occur in Austria, Bavaria and Poland.
