Summary

Difficulties of solving the ηη′ mixing problem within the framework of quark models are analysed. This problem is considered within the framework of two models: i) nonrelativistic potential model for light hadrons and ii) effective chiral Lagrangian with gluon anomaly. As a result we predict the existence of the third isosinglet 0 state η″ with the mass (2.1÷2.7) GeV. Properties of this state and possibilities of its observation are discussed. A possibility of the simultaneous description of light and heavy mesons using potential model is considered. An estimate of the heavy-quark masses is given. The possible nature of some 0 isosinglets is discussed.
