Operating characteristics of a gas-liquid bubble chamber

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

Experiments have been performed to determine the effect of temperature on the sensitivity of a bubble chamber filled with various concentrations of methane gas in liquid propane. It has been found that as the concentration of methane is increased the operating pressure, for any given degree of sensitivity, encreases by about 0.3 atmosphere for every 1 ° C decrease in temperature achieved.
