Pressure effect on the microwave absorption of oxygen

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

The frequency shift of microwave absorption of oxygen as a function of pressure is calculated by the adiabatic and semiadiabatic methods. The results obtained taking into account the London dispersion interaction, the exchange forces interaction and the quadrupole-quadrupole interaction are in good agreement with the experimental data.
