Low-energy theorem connecting weak-pion production and two-pion photo-production

Summary

\(({\mathcal{N}}*\pi )\) photo-production from nucleons is connected to the matrix elements of the weak axial current between nucleons and\({\mathcal{N}}*(1236)\) states as a low-energy theorem by current algebras. Using predictions for these matrix elements, partly again from current algebras, the threshold cross-section of\(\gamma {\mathcal{N}} \to \pi {\mathcal{N}} * \) is worked out, so providing a possible consistency test.
