Summary
Two children with mongolism, aged 10 months and 3 years, from North India, belonging to areas non-endemic for goitre, were found to have coexistent hypothyroidism. No thyroid antibodies were demonstrated (employing the tanned red cell agglutination technique) in the propositii and their parents.
