An algebraic extension of QCD2

Summary

Quantum chromodynamics in two dimensions can be formulated in terms of gauge-invariant bilocal fields which obey an algebra with a central charge term. TheU(N) orSU(N) model is then extended to the one withN being an arbitrary real number, positive or negative.
