Nonlocal superpositions of K0,\(\bar K^0 \) andCP violationandCP violation

Summary

We assume that K S , K L arenonlocal superpositions of K0 and\(\bar K^0 \), and briefly discuss a possible interpretation of this assumption. It is found that the form of such a nonlocality is unique, in the first order of its space-time expansion, up to a parameter. Using this form, we find expressions for the measurable quantities in the K S , K L decays. In the simplest nontrivial case, we find\(\eta _{00} \approx - 2\eta _{ + - } \) and <KS/KL>=0. Consistency with the experimental data, in this case, requires an apparentCPT violation (which may emerge as well from the nonlocal superposition).

Si fa l’ipotesi che K S , K L siano sovrapposizioninon locali di K0 e\(\bar K^0 \), e si discute brevemente una possibile interpretazione di questa ipotesi. Si trova che la forma di una tale non località è unica al primo ordine del suo sviluppo spazio-temporale, fino ad un parametro. Usando questa forma, si trovano espressioni per le quantità misurabili nei decadimenti di K S , K L . Nel caso più semplice non banale si trova\(\eta _{00} \approx - 2\eta _{ + - } \) <KS/KL>=0.
