Two-rotor model of deformed nuclei

Summary

The two-rotor model of deformed nuclei, already studied forN =Z, is reformulated using a more appropriate quantization procedure and extended to the caseNZ. While the neutron excess effects are negligeable, the different quantization procedure has the effect of halving the excitation energy of the collectiveM1 state.
