A constraint on angular momentum in hartree-fock calculations?

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

Recently it has been suggested to obtain rotational spectra in deformed Hartree-Fock calculations by imposing a constraint on the angular momentum. It is demonstrated that this procedure leads to difficulties for small angular momenta. This general result is illustrated by a simple model calculation.
