Phase shift analysis of12C+12C elastic scattering measured at intermediate energies

Summary

An elastic-scattering phase shift analysis of the12C+12C system studied at 360 and 1016 MeV incident energies is presented, based on the McIntyre parametrization. The success of this model allows the interplay between diffraction and refraction to be pinned down: a presence of a nuclear rainbow is clearly evidenced.

Si presenta un'analisi dello spostamento di fase dello scattering elastico del sistema12C+12C studiato ad energie incidenti di 360 e 1016 MeV, basandosi sulla parametrizzazione di McIntyre. Il successo di questo modello permette di vincolare l'interazione tra diffrazione e rifrazione: si evidenzia con chiarezza la presenza di un arcobaleno nucleare.
