Interpolation, differentiation and solution of eigenvalue problems in more than one dimension

Summary

The extension to more than one dimension is outlined of recent results providing a convenient finite-dimensional matrix representation of the differential operator and indicating its usefulness for the numerical solution of eigenvalue problems.
