Isotope effect in total muon capture rates on nuclei and isotensor effective potential

Summary

Isotope effects are considered in the framework of the energy-weighted sum rule treatment of muon capture on nuclei. The possibility of exploiting total capture rates to convey information on nuclear structure is pointed out.

В рамках подхода правил сумм к мюонному захвату в ядрах рассматриваются изотопические эффекты. Отмечается возможность использования полных интенсивностей захвата для получения информации о структуре ядер.

Riassunto

Si considerano gli effetti isotopici nell’ambito del trattamento della cattura μ su nuclei mediante regole di somma pesate sull’energia. Si sottolinea la possibilità di usare rapporti totali di cattura per estrarre informazioni sulla struttura nucleare.
