Conclusion

Though the accuracy of ultrasonic examination for diseases of biliary tracts is lesser than that of percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography, it can be performed without complication or pain for patients, and valuable for acute inflammation of biliary tracts and patients with iodine hypersensitivity.
