Riassunto

Si descrive un’esperienza sul rapporto delle probabilità di. decadimento per cattura di elettroni dell’orbitaL e dell’orbitaK relativo al37A. Il dispositivo impiegato consiste in due contatori proporzionali coassiali connessi in anticoincidenza. Il rapporto di cattura, dedotto da una serie di dieci misure, risulta in valor medio 0.0971±0.0005. L’energia corrispondente al piccoL risulta (254±2) eV.

Summary

TheL andK X-radiations of37Cl resulting from orbital-electron capture have been studied using a special multiwire proportional counter system. The L/K-capture ratio of37A has been determined to be 0.0971 ±0.0005. The average energy of theL peak was found to be (254±2) eV.
