Abstract
Luminescence of oxide films on aluminum, emerging upon their immersion in aqueous electrolytes, is studied. The volt-brightness and temperature curves of the luminescence are measured. The luminescence is shown to be induced not only by protons and hydroxyl ions, as assumed earlier, but by other ions present in electrolyte as well.
