A note on phonon mass defect scattering

Summary

A recently proposed Wentzel-model type of solution for the resonant scattering of phonons by point defects is examined. It is shown that, if the correct value is used for the coupling constants, one obtains the same results of the Green's function method.

Si esamina un tipo di soluzione proposto di recente sul modello di Wentzel per lo scattering di risonanza dei fononi da parte di lacune puntiformi. Si mette in luce come, se si usa il corretto valore per la costante di accoppiamento, si ottiene l'identico risultato che si ha con il metodo delle funzioni di Green.

Исследуется недавно предложенный Вентцелем модельный тип решения для резонансного рассеяния фононов точеныыми дефектами. Показывается, что использование правильного значения для константы связи приводит к тем же резулятатам, что и в методе функций Грина.
