A new and consistent method for classical renormalization

Summary

A general method, whose consistency was checked, is proposed for taking into account self-interaction in classical physics. The finite radiation terms are identical to those given by Dirac's method. Moreover, by means of analytic continuation, a formula is found which reduces the computation of self-interaction terms to mere inspection.

Резюме

Предлагается общий метод, непротиворечивость которого проверяется, для рассмотрения собственного взаимодействия в классической физике. Конечные радиационные члены оказываются тождественными членам, которые получаются в методе Дирака. Кроме того, с помощью аналитического продолжения получается формула, которая сводит вычисление членов собственного взаимодействия к простому рассмотрению.

Riassunto

Si propone un modello generale, di cui è stata verificata la consistenza, per tener conto delle autointerazioni nella fisica classica. I termini di radiazione finiti risultano identici a quelli forniti dal metodo di Dirao. Inoltre, per mezzo della continuazione analitica, si trova una formula che riconduce il calcolo dei termini di autointerazione a una semplice ispezione.
