S1/2 andD3/2N* resonant states and theirN’п andNη decay modes

Summary

A review is given of the present status of the possibleN* resonance in the ηN s-state at (1500÷1530) MeV observed in the process пp-+p →π+N. An analysis is made to determine whether a large contribution to η production from an ηN decay mode of thed 13 N* could invalidate the previous deductions of an ηN s-wave resonance and it is concluded that present experiments sustain the ηN resonance hypothesis. The branching ratios of these twoN* resonances into πN and ηN are determined.

Si passa in rassegna lo stato presente della conoscenza della possibile risonanzaN* nello statos ηN a (1500÷1530) MeV osservata nel processo ψp-+pπ+N. Si esegue un’analisi per determinare se un grande contributo alla produzione di η da un modo di decadimento ηN deld 13 N potrebbe invalidare le precedenti deduzioni di una risonanza ηN in ondas e se ne conclude che gli attuali esperimenti sostengono l’ipotesi della risonanza ηN*. Si determinano i rapporti di suddivisione di queste due risonanzeN πN e ηN.

Приводится обзор существующего положения для возможногоN*-резонанса вS-состоянии ηN при (1500÷1530) МэВ, который наблюдался в процессе ψp-+p→π+N. Производится анализ для определения, может ли большой вклад в η-рожение из моды ηN распадаd 13 N* сделать недействительным предыдущие выводы о ηN резонансе дляs- волны, и делается заключение, что настоящие эксперименты подтверждают ηN-резонанснуюгипотезу. Определяются отношения ветвей распадов для этих двух двухN*-резонансов πN и ηN.
