On the electromagnetic interaction with the deuteron at threshold

Summary

The method of analiticity and unitarity is applied to the determination of the magnetic dipole matrix element. It is shown how the computed radiative neutron capture is in agreement with experiment. The influence of the final-state interaction is, discussed for the deuteron photo-disintegration just above the threshold. Finally some comments are done on the application of the Siegert theorem.

Riassunto

Si applicano i metodi di analiticità e unitarietà alia determinazione dell’elemento di matrioe di dipolo magnetioo. Si mostra come la sezione d’urto di cattura radiativa di neutroni è in accordo con i dati sperimentali. Si discute pure l’influenza dell’interazione nello stato finale sulla fotodisintegrazione appena al di sopra della soglia. Infine si formulano alcuni commenti sull’applieazione del teorema di Siegert.
