On the low-energy photodisintegration of the deuteron

Summary

An analytical calculation of the total cross-section of the d(γ, p)n reaction atE γ≤8 MeV is presented. The well-known dipole approximation and a convenient analytical deuteron wave function for the initial-state and free-state wave functions for the continuum final states are used. The results are in very good agreement with experimental data.

Riassunto

Si presenta un calcolo analitico della sezione d’urto totale della reazione d(γ, p)n aE γ≤8 MeV. Si usa la ben nota approssimazione di dipolo ed una conveniente funzione d’onda analitica del deuterone per le funzioni d’onda dello stato iniziale e dello stato libero per gli stati finali del continuo. I risultati sono in buon accordo con i dati sperimentali.

Реэюме

Проводится аналитическое вычисление полного поперечного сечения реакции d(γ, р)п при знергииE γ≤8. При рассмотрении испольэуются хорощо иэвестное дипольное приближение и обшепринятая аналитическая волновая функция дейтона для начального состояния и волновые функции свободного состояния для континуума конечных состояний. Полученные реэультаты хорощо согласуются с зкспериментальными данными.
